THE ICONIC SWAN BOATS

Since I’ve visited Boston quite a few time over the years, I don’t do research anymore and just start exploring without much of a plan!

I knew that I wanted to go on the Swan Boats, but was game for anything after than (sometimes those can be the best types of adventures, right?). So this post is pretty much that. It kicks off with our Swan Boat experience and then continues with all of the other mini-adventures we took throughout the day!

Down by the picturesque lagoon, the Swan Boat Rides of Boston is a true traditional delight — riding on a boat with plastic but rather charming-looking large swans while viewing the lush Public Garden certainly makes for a classic Boston family-friendly tourist destination.
Truly a great place for a stroll and people and plant watching!

We couldn’t leave the Public Garden without visiting The “Make Way for Ducklings” statues, featuring Mrs. Mallard and her eight ducklings — inspired by Robert McCluskey’s children’s picture book of the same name about Mr. and Mrs. Mallard and their adventures!

We then fuel our bodies with some Dunkin’ donuts and the best cannoli in town from Mike’s Pastry!!!

We finished off by strolling around the city – seeing the Paul Revere Monument, the Christopher Columbus Park, and Faneuil Hall!
