The flowers that come from spring rains are many people’s favorite part of the season, when everything that was old and withered is new once again. April is a magical month in Washington state. The sun stays up longer everyday and happiness levels go up, supplying us with more Vitamin D and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people come to the Skagit Valley in April for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. As one of Washington State’s most popular destination events, visitors and residents are treated to acres and acres of brightly colored tulips, display gardens that are simply stunning, and photo opportunities around every corner.
There are two display gardens: Tulip Town and RoozenGaarde. We visited the RoozenGaarde which has 150 varieties of tulips and flowers in their display gardens and they have a 15 acre tulip field. It’s impossible to put the camera down at the tulip fields. They look like a painting! Incredibly vivid in color, delicate and stunning. It’s hard to choose just a few photos to show since the flowers are all so beautiful.
