There is a resort in Iloilo where you can find Heaven on Earth.
The Garinfarm Pilgrimage Resort in San Joaquin, Iloilo is a gorgeous place for leisure and recreation. One could go fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, and swimming. However, the main attraction of the resort is the one-of-a-kind “Stairway to Heaven” that lets guests get in touch with their spiritual selves.
In order to get there – one must climb the 480 steps of stairs, but we cheated and paid the extra fee of taking the go-carts up the hill (so worth it, esp. on such a hot scorching day)!
Upon reaching the top, you enter a cave called the Divine Mercy Dark Meditation Tunnel. Which is basically…well, a dark tunnel.
And what happens when you step out on the other side of the Dark Tunnel?
You’ll find yourself having a glimpse of the “eternal” in the Heavenly Scenario.
After walking through the dark tunnel, all that white was blinding. LITERALLY. It was all sooooo white and really difficult to see anything. We had the place all to ourselves but only enjoyed it for about 2 minutes before we were over it.
My parents, Avery & Andre took the go-carts back down while me and Kaila braved the stairs. Heading back down wasn’t so bad, we were able to see key scenes from the life of Jesus Christ depicted in various stops that we would have missed if we had skip the stairs altogether.
Definitely check this place out if you are ever in Iloilo!
My one recommendation is to pay the extra fee of using the go-carts to bypass the farm. The odor was absolutely horrendous! You’ll thank me later!
