To celebrate Andre’s mom turning 75, we traveled to Philippines to hiked the treacherous mountains of Amorogtong, Iloilo to visit the Our Lady of Fatima shrine that she had built years ago for the farm village she grew up in.
We all powered through the crazy terrain despite the scorching heat, determined to climb the mountain she once frequently visited as a child.
The pilgrimage ended with an outreach program for the community! Being able to give back to the very people that Mama Lou loved dearly was definitely a life changing and humbling experience.
