The start of better weather, longer days & ballpark beers! Cheers to the Mariners first win 12-4!
The Mussel Fest swung into full action on Saturday under sunny skies and mild temperatures. The popular mussel chowder tasting cost $10 a ticket and is good for chowder samples at four different Coupeville businesses! This is my second time coming to the Penn Cove MusselFest and I always leave with a happy stomach!
Sure, you can get a pumpkin at any grocery store, but it’s way more fun to find one in its natural habitat. Living in Seattle for over 10 years, I have yet to visit the University of Washington's Cherry Blossoms...crazy huh! So when I heard that the Yoshino cherry trees will reach their gorgeous, [...]
Ballard's Sunday Farmer's Market is a wonderful place to shop for fresh produce, baked goods, homemade products and meats. They also have several food stands selling great meals. What is especially nice is that the market runs down Ballard so you can duck in and out of the great shops, cafes, bars, and boutiques while [...]
Rain, wind, and more rain is the best way to describe winter days in the Pacific Northwest. Our day trip to Deception Pass was just that...a typical Pacific Northwest winter day with a bit of sunshine! We started our adventure in Mukiteo (about 30 minutes north of Seattle) and caught the short ferry across the [...]
