Every year, we always make our way over to Mt. Creek Tree farm to cut down our very own Christmas tree. Growing up, we’ve always had a real Christmas, there’s nothing quite like the smell of a fresh evergreen as it permeates the air of the home.
The Fraser fir is one of my favorite mainly because they have good form and needle-retention, they are dark blue-green in color, and have a pleasant smell. I also try and choose a Charlie Brown tree but that’s a challenge since Ry always wants one that full and bushy, so there’s usually a bit of negotiating to finding the prefect tree!
