MIGHTY FINE SCAN #9

Today was a GOOD day!!!

Well, as good as it can be. The CT and MRI scans was overall good; the only drawback was that they found more nodules on the right side of my stomach. But according to Dr. Pillarisetty there is nothing to worry about but just in case I have to do a follow-up MRI in three months to be on the safe side.

Thank you to everyone for your endless support, love, and prayers.

THE GREAT EIGHT

A little over a month after giving birth, I went in for my routine MRI/CT scan. As you can tell from the title, my scan was great!! So now instead of going every 4 months like I was doing before I got pregnant, I am now schedule to go every 6 months.

Thank you to everyone for your endless support, love, and prayers.

IT’S NOT A MYTH, I SURVIVED THE FIFTH!!!

High Five to Scan #5!

Since I’ve been showing great progress, instead of having MRI & CT scans every 3 months, Dr. Pillariesetty recommended MRI scans every 4 months until I reach my two year mark. And if all goes smoothly from there on, the hope is to reduce these scans to every 6 months.

Thank you to everyone for your endless support, love, and prayers.

Special thanks to my amazing team over at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. You guys rock!

FOLLOW-UP

Today was my 2 week post-op check. Doc says I’m healing really well and that I can finally remove all the steri strips which was a real relief because it was causing me to itch real bad. The latest pathology report did conclude that the type of cancer I had was indeed Leiomyosarcoma and that all traces of it was removed from my digestive tract. However, because it’s a high grade tumor, the doctor believes the chances of it coming back is pretty high. All I can do from here on out is pray that it doesn’t find its way back to me. Well, that and of course, routine checks and CT scans.

After my visit to the doctors, I figured we should make use of my parent’s time in Seattle – so we got some coffee at U. Village and strolled by the Fremont Troll.

We then headed to Belltown Pizza for lunch and met with my friends Brian & Chris!
