Today was a loooong road trip. We ventured our way over to Canada, since it’s supposedly “The Best Place on Earth”. The family was excited because this was their first time there. Since we only planned a day trip, I tried to get as much sightseeing in as I can.
We started off a Granville Island where we enjoyed the farmers market, shops, and the unique atmosphere.
We grab a patio table for lunch at The Sand Bar. The food was superb, and the view was gorgeous – not to mention the cool heat lamps and blankets available on the patio.
We took a stroll through the waterfront and we came across some kind of boat show. Some boats allowed visitors to get on board which I thought was pretty awesome!
We then headed over to Prospect Point which offers excellent views of the Lions Gate Bridge, North Shore Mountains and Burrard Inlet.
The Stanley Park Hollow Tree, a 700-800 year old Western Red Cedar tree stump, has a special place in the memories of many Vancouverites and is one of the most well-known and photographed landmarks in the park.
We ended the day overlooking a beautiful sunset at my favorite spot….the English Bay Beach featuring Inukshuk.
Those are FANTASTIC pictures!!!
