I’m leaving on a jet plane…don’t know when I’ll be back again!!!
I’ll be boarding Asiana Air in a few hours and heading to Philippines!!! I’ll be meeting up with my parents and will be celebrating Christmas with them…yay!!! I’m beyond excited; It’s been 12 years since I’ve been back to the motherland. I just can’t wait to get out of this cold, windy, and freezing Seattle weather and put on some tank tops and shorts to enjoy the hot and humid weather of P.I.! I don’t really have any plans besides the usual shopping and pigging out; maybe throw in a bit of sightseeing. But spending time with my parents will totally be the icing on this trip!
After my week is up in Manila, I’ll be flying over to South Korea and spending New Year’s with my brother! Woohoo!!! I think I’m more excited about traveling to South Korea, since I’ve never been there before. I’m definitely not at all looking forward to the weather since I hear it’s 10x worse than Seattle’s winter. But with well over 10 years of cold weather experience, I think I‘ll be able to brave the cold (fingers cross)!!! I have a long list of places I want to see and do; an even longer list of eating all kinds of traditional Korean foods and drinking Soju…ahhhhhh I can’t wait!
I’m going to come back to Seattle with an extra layer of fat from all the amazing foods that Philippines and South Korea has to offer! But that’s ok, cause it’ll still be winter in Seattle and I can hide it all under my winter coats1
I can’t wait to share my experiences when I get back.
So for now, I wish everyone a joyous Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
