As I was scrolling through Facebook, I came across a Buzzfeed article where the lovely Oregon town of St. Helens transforms into the classic 1998 Disney film “Halloweentown”! In honor of the movie, the town holds an October month-long ‘Spirit of Halloweentown’ celebration . Ecstatic, I immediately made plans to St. Helens to re-live one of my favorite childhood movies! I was even more excited to find out that Kimberly Brown, actress who played ‘Marnie’ in the movie, announced she would be returning to Halloweentown for the giant jack-o-lantern lighting at town square!!! There were so many people dressed up in witch costumes and many great photo ops all around town.
And speaking of photo ops, I learned that scenes of the vampire series Twilight were shot in St. Helens so couldn’t leave without getting my shots! Icing on the cake!!! I was in Heaven!!!
