Hiking the easternmost point of the Issaquah Alps
Washington trails are best known for their lush green forests and crystal blue lakes. The 4-mile roundtrip hike to Rattlesnake Ledge offers all this and more.
This trail is pretty brutal if you are out of shape like myself. It is up hill all the way to the ledge, but is luckily shaded the entire way by thick forest. The only downfall with this hike is how crowded the trail was. But man, once you make it to the top…WOW!!!
The payoff in panoramic views makes this trail a real win. Not crazy difficult, not terribly long and a really well maintained trail.
And once you have got back to the bottom, you can take a dip in the lake. Super refreshing!
