Today they put in a PICC line; it’s similar to a standard IV and is inserted in my upper left arm. It was somewhat a painful process but I get to keep it in for a year if needed. The joy of having the PICC line is that I don’t have to get poked or prodded anymore. I’m able to get the nutrients my body needs and the nurses get the amount of blood required….it’s a win-win situation.
I’ve been feeling so much better, haven’t had nausea or much abdominal pain. I got to shower today, but no bowel movement. I’m still on a liquid diet, but I’m able to get up and move around without feeling dizzy or weak. Oh btw, it took the nurse two tries to get this bad boy in. Why am I not surprised?
