One of the most recognizable landmarks in the entire world, the Eiffel Tower is an absolute must-visit when you’re in Paris!
The tower was built by French architect and engineer Gustave Eiffel (who also designed the Statue of Liberty) in 1889. It was constructed for the Exposition Universelle, celebrating 100 years since the French Revolution.
Avery is 29 weeks old today!
We didn’t get a chance to venture to the top of the tower – mainly because we have Avery. I’m not saying he’s at fault, but he definitely is the main reason we are avoiding the lines and the crowds these days. So far he has been good throughout the trip, with mini outburst here and there – either he’s tired or hungry. So we take a break or I just end up wearing him on the Ergo. But if we were in line somewhere or in a more enclosed space, then it’ll get a bit hectic which will eventually stress me out and then I just want to leave. So yeah, we have been avoiding going into certain places, but it’ll be a great reason to come back and next time around Avery will be much bigger and cross fingers *well behaved!
And while you’re at, take a ride on the Eiffel Tower Carousel located on the corner of the Pont d’lena and Quai Branly. What makes this the most beautiful carousel with colorful white horse from any other in the world is the fact that it is right in front of the Eiffel Tower, giving an excellent opportunity for photographs.
A little side note: this was Avery’s 1st carousel ride and afterwards, he ended up throwing up. poor guy!
