I took a mini getaway to San Francisco to attend Leila’s 3rd birthday party. With the sun out, the bouncy castle up, the arrival of the magical unicorn, and the musician playing all the party hits, it was a perfect day for a princess party.
Later that evening, we headed to Marin Brewery.
This was followed by a scrumptious brunch the following day at Spruce. Everything from the beignets, coffee cake, fresh ricotta blintzes with warm huckleberry sauce, lobster benedict, spruce burger & fries, thick-cut bacon and the crispy duck fat potatoes was to die for!
For dessert, I had the giant chocolate chip cookie and so did Leila…yummy!
Afterwards, we made the long 4 hour journey to Lake Tahoe. Feeling lucky, we made a stop at some random gas station and purchased a Powerball ticket (which didn’t end up winning…not even close)! On our way there, I started feeling a little under the weather so I spent most of the evening eating soup and watching tv. The next day, we got to do some sight-seeing and exploring of the town.
But we couldn’t leave without taking our a jumping shot at Lake Tahoe!
